Christmas Shows

These rates are for shows in the Victoria area & Cowichan Valley area. No travel fee, because I’m based in Victoria.

Call for rates for shows in other locations. (For example, fees for shows in Nanaimo are +$100, and fees for shows on the Lower Mainland are +$400.)

I prefer to perform indoors. Outdoor shows only under certain conditions (call to discuss).

I’m self-contained, and bring my own tables, sound system, and backdrop (as necessary).

I can work on a stage, riser, or on the floor.

Different shows have different set up and pack down times (call to discuss).

Please promote my show as “Donald Dunphy’s Magic Show” or “Magician Donald Dunphy.”

The Bronze, Silver, or Gold Happy Holiday Magic Show is my Christmas-Fun Magic Show, that delivers lots of Laughter, Smiles, and Amazement! The shows are a blend of amazing magic tricks, fun balloon twisting, clean comedy, and audience participation, with no stage illusion. The “Happy Holiday Magic Show” is an adaptation of my popular “Fun Magic Show”, but packed with Christmas-fun themed magic, so it will fit the theme of your party or event better! You’ll see themed tricks featuring Christmas trees, candy canes, stockings, Santa, elves, snowmen, and reindeer. New shows (different magic tricks) are available for repeat customers. You can also add-on a special “Stage Illusion” or “Balloon Twisting,” or both – see below.

1) 30-minute BRONZE “Happy Holiday Magic Show”: One Show = $250.

2) 45-minute SILVER “Happy Holiday Magic Show”: One Show = $350.

3) 60-minute GOLD “Happy Holiday Magic Show”: One Show = $450.

To create a big WOW, you can add one or two special “Stage Illusions” to the Bronze, Silver, or Gold “Happy Holiday Magic Show.” A stage illusion is a larger-scale magic trick, usually involving a person. In this show, I perform my Floating Child Illusion (a child volunteer who I select from the audience), and / or my Amazing Shoe Illusion (funny trick with a borrowed shoe and magic wands that get bigger and bigger), which are special highlights of the show. Adding one or two Stage Illusions creates a Deluxe Magic Show experience for your group.

4) Add One Illusion (“Plus”) = $100 Additional,
Add Two Illusions (“Plus Plus”) = $200 Additional.

For Example:
GOLD PLUS “Happy Holiday Magic Show” (60-Minute Show with Floating Child) = $550.
GOLD PLUS PLUS “Happy Holiday Magic Show” (60-Minute Show with both Floating Child and Amazing Shoe) = $650.

Yes, you can book Donald’s Balloon Twisting without booking a Magic Show, but some customers book it as an add-on to their Magic Show. Balloon Twisting is NOT a stand-up show, but souvenir-style entertainment for a few people at a time (typically, I end up a steady line-up of kids wanting balloons). I’ll create and give away colourful and customized balloon creations. In one hour, I can inflate and twist about 100 souvenir balloons. These can be 100 single-balloon-creations for larger groups, or fewer but fancier multiple-balloon-creations for smaller groups. All of the balloons create a festive atmosphere. I currently inflate my balloons with a pump, not by mouth. Note – I only offer Balloons by the hour, so part of an hour (example – 30 minutes) is still the fee for a full hour.

5) BALLOON TWISTING –
One hour, or portion of a full hour = $200.
Two hours = $400.
